SAS and daniels merge to create Cheshire's biggest law firm

SAS Lawyers and daniels Solicitors are to merge on June 1, 2006, thereby creating the biggest law firm exclusively based in Cheshire.

“This merger brings city centre expertise and gravitas to the county of Cheshire - a county which, in truth, is actually home to many of the businesses, individuals and entrepreneurs that make the North West of England a commercial powerhouse,” said Nigel Haddon, Managing Partner designate.

The new firm, sas daniels , will have bases in Stockport, Macclesfield, Congleton and Bramhall – with Daniels’ Manchester staff moving to what is currently SAS Lawyers’ headquarters in Greek Street, Stockport. Headcount is now 140.

“Our ethos and approach is to be accessible and engage with clients – and to apply creativity and imagination to problem solving and deal making. But we also apply a simple benchmark – whatever we perceive to be the best the competition can offer, we will match or better it,” said Nigel Haddon.

“But we’re also about geographical accessibility: parking, for instance is a novelty at many big city law firms – and that can make a difference. Our offices are also far more accessible by road and rail – again, a much-undervalued consideration when time and distance costs money.

“And on the subject of money, our locations also mean our overheads are nothing like as intimidating as they would be in the city centre – and we pass that value level on to our clients.”

Senior Partner designate, Sandra Sinclair said: “Our belief is that there is now no other law firm in Cheshire that can offer our levels of expertise, capability and resource for the money.”

sas daniels is a full service firm, with expertise in employment, dispute resolution, commercial property, construction and corporate finance and all areas of family law, personal injury, property and probate, wills & trusts
